We are excited to be attending the Romance Writers of America (RWA) Conference in NYC, July 23-25! We always look forward to re-connecting with current clients and meeting new people who may be interested in working with us to grow their book sales.
INscribe Digital works with a select and curated set of published authors. Our expertise and service offerings help to streamline their publishing workflows and maximize their marketing opportunities leading to higher book sales. We see the greatest success with authors who have a proven track record of sales in eBooks and/or physical books, and who have a passion for expanding their readership and are actively engaged in the strategic planning and marketing processes of their catalog.
We hope you will visit our booth on Friday between 1-5pm. We have some fun giveaways for you and want to meet you to learn more about how we can work together.
We also hope that you will join us for Kelly’s panel discussion, How to Create Romance eBook Bestsellers on Friday, July 24 at 11am. Kelly is moderating the panel, which includes Mark Lefebvre Director of Self-Publishing and Author Relations at Kobo, Tobly McSmith, Manager of eBook Sales at HarperCollins, and Kristina Radke, Publisher Liaison and Communications Manager for NetGalley.
The discussion will focus on maximizing eBook sales by making the most of promotional opportunities with online retailers, as well as new digital marketing tools. The group will explore effective strategies for publishers who want to strengthen their presence and relationships with the major retailers.
Actionable tips will include how to make the most of pre-orders, featured and seasonal merchandizing opportunities, price promotions, and targeted e-mails, as well as how to use links inside the book, galley giveaways, and other promotions to boost your eBook sales from 5% to 25%.
We look forward to attending many of the RWA Workshops, particularly those focused on the careers of authors and how they are approaching decisions relating to independent vs. traditional publishing. We work with many authors who are finding great success in a hybrid model of publishing so this is particularly relevant. In particular, we plan to sit in on sessions such as:
- Which Track Is for You: Indie, Traditional, or Hybrid?
- Surviving Hybrid: How to Handle the Best (and Worst) of Both Worlds
- Writing Is Big Business! Are You Ready?
- Self-Publishing 101: A Primer
- Q&A: Everything You Want to Know about Self-Publishing with Barbara Freethy and Bella Andre
- Surviving Self-Publishing When the Success Is Slow to Come
- Cover Art That Makes Readers Click
- Write to Success
- Beyond Business: Taking the Agency/Author Relationship into the New Era
We hope to hear sharp insight from panelists who have successful experience with these decisions so that we can share that information with our clients.
At INscribe, we have a real passion for marketing our clients’ titles and so we are also really excited about several of the marketing workshops, including:
- Blog Your Way to Bigger Sales
- Box Set Strategy: Methodology and Lessons Learned
- How to Power Up and Protect Your Brand
- Making the Right Publishing Choice: The Big Five, Indie, or Hybrid. Which Publishing Option Is Right for You?
- Working with an Independent Publicist
We think these sessions will give us great new ideas about how to help independent authors maximize their marketing efforts and grow their sales. We know that romance authors are some of the best experimenters out there and we love how the community so generously shares best practices!
See you in New York!
